Junior Merchandise & Graphic Designer

April 2022 - September 2022

For 6 months, I worked at a Berlin-based start up called Mula as a merchandise and graphic designer. This involved regularly working with new customers every week to help them design merchandise, logos and products for their companies/events.
I would also design company merchandise, promotional material and presentations for potential clients whenever required.

Working Student

November 2022 - January 2023

I have also worked as a working student for Mula. This job allowed me to learn about merchandising and the the various forms of of production (screen print, digital print, embroidery, engraving etc.)

While I continued all the duties of Junior Designer, I also designed marketing and promotional content for social media.
Due to my ongoing studies, I had to reduce my hours and be a working student.

Media Designer
April 2023 onwards

As a media designer, my work varied from more corporate social media content (reels, posts, write-ups, flyers, brochures etc.)

to more creative work with musicians to design cover arts for albums, produce and record music videos & curate album roll out campaigns.

About me

As a designer, I believe in the importance of not having a particular ‘style’. I am constantly trying to put myself outside of my comfort zone because I believe this is the only way to really grow as a creative. I try to constantly push myself to be consistently good while also regularly changing aesthetics. Art is subjective. There is no ‘perfect design’. This can be seen by some as a negative - that no matter what they do, they will never be able to find the 'correct' answer - I choose to see this as a positive as this also implies that there are multiple correct answers. For someone like me - who is constantly looking for ways to avoid complacency - design offers change, freedom and progression. Exploring the seemingly endless possiblities that exist in the field of design is why I am drawn to it.

My name is Rohan

I believe that creating the best possible product for my clients is not just about creating something that looks visually appealing, but also about designing something that functions seamlessly and solves problems for the end-user. My passion lies in the intersection of design and problem-solving, and I approach every project with a mindset of creating a solution that is both visually stunning and highly functional.

My skill set includes a range of design tools and software, including Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, Figma, and InVision, among others. I have experience working on a variety of projects, including branding and identity design, merchandising, packaging design, web and mobile app design, print design, and more.

In addition to my technical skills, I pride myself on my ability to collaborate with clients and team members alike. I understand that the best results come from open communication and a willingness to listen to others' perspectives. I am always eager to learn from my clients, their customers, and other designers to ensure that I am creating the best possible product for everyone involved.
